The Head, Heart, & Hands: April 3rd, 2022

Rachel Cantu   -

Hey Central Hope! Welcome to our weekly worship guide, where we will lay out the songs for the upcoming Sunday and offer a way to worship our God with our Head (mind), Heart (soul), and Hands (actions).

Our aim is to help prepare you to participate in the worship of our great God on Sunday! Use our playlist from Spotify to enjoy these songs throughout your week on your commute to work, in the line at school, or at home!

This week we will be singing:

  • What A Friend We Have in Jesus
  • How Deep the Father’s Love For Us
  • Lord I Need You
  • Psalm 23 (Surely Goodness, Surely Mercy)

This week, we will reflect on Only A Holy God, written in 2016 by CityAlight Music. This song is one of my personal favorites, since coming to Central Hope.

Lyric: “Who else can whisper and darkness tremble”

Worship God with your head and reflect on his Lordship in James 2:19, “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe – and shudder!”

Lyric: “Who else invites me to call Him Father”

Worship God with your heart and consider his love in 1 John 3:1, “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.”

 Lyric: “Come and behold Him’

Worship God with your hands by practicing Revelation 7:9-10 with the body and with all creation, “After this I looked and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!’”

See you Sunday! – Justin
