The Head, Heart, & Hands: March 13th, 2022

Rachel Cantu   -

Hey Central Hope! Welcome to the Weekly Worship, where we will lay out the songs for the upcoming Sunday and offer a guide to worship our God with our Head, Heart, and Hands amidst our busy weekday schedules.

At Central, we believe our worship of God should engage our heads, hearts, and hands. God has commanded us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. So each week, we will highlight an upcoming song and reflect on how it engages our Head, Heart, and Hands. Our aim in providing this is to help prepare you to participate in the worship of our great God! We hope you can enjoy these songs throughout your week on your commute to work, in the line at school, or at home! Click here to find them on Spotify.

This week we will be singing:

  • All Creatures of Our God and King
  • Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
  • The Solid Rock
  • Once For All
  • Holy Holy Holy

This week, we will reflect on The Solid Rock, a timeless hymn written in 1834 by Edward Mote.

“I rest on His unchanging grace.”

Worship God with your head and reflect on his character in Malachi 3:6, “For I the LORD do not change” and John 1:16, “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

“When he shall come with trumpet sound, may I then in Him be found.”

Worship God with your heart and feel the excitement of 1 Thessalonians 4:16, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.”

“I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus name.”

Worship God with your hands by practicing Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”

I cannot wait to worship with you and your family.

See you Sunday! – Justin
