The Head, Heart, & Hands: April 10th, 2022

Rachel Cantu   -

Hey Central Hope! Welcome to The Weekly Worship, where we will lay out the songs for the upcoming Sunday and offer a way to worship our God with our Head, Heart, and Hands.

God has commanded us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We, each week, will highlight an upcoming song and reflect on how it engages our Head, Heart, and Hands. We hope you can enjoy these songs (click here to navigate to our Spotify playlist) throughout your week on your commute to work, in the line at school, or at home!

This week we will be singing:

  • He Will Hold Me Fast
  • Psalm 27 (One Thing)
  • Lamb of God
  • Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
  • Jesus Paid It All

This week, we will reflect on Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, written by Helen H. Lemmel in 1922.

“His Word shall not fail you He promised”

Worship God with your head and reflect on His sovereignty in Isaiah 14:24, “The LORD of hosts has sworn: As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand”.

“Over us sin no more hath dominion”

Worship God with your heart and feel the freedom declared in Romans 6:22, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.”

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face”

Worship God with your hands by practicing Psalm 119:6, 15 “Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments… I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.”

Can’t wait to worship with all of you! See you Sunday! – Justin
