The Head, Heart, Hands: July 3rd, 2022

Rachel Cantu   -

Hey Central Hope! Welcome to the Order of Worship for July 3rd, 2022, where we will lay out the songs for the upcoming Sunday and offer a way to worship our God with our Head, Heart and Hands.

At Central, we believe our daily worship of God should engage the head, heart, and hand. We say this because God has commanded us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. So each week, we will highlight an upcoming song and reflect on how it engages our Head, Heart, and Hand. Our aim in providing this is to help prepare you to participate in the worship of our great God! We hope you can enjoy these songs throughout your week on your commute to work, in the line at school, or at home!

This week we will be singing (check out our Spotify playlist):

  • Saved My Soul
  • The Solid Rock
  • Great Is Thy Faithfulness
  • Psalm 27 (One Thing)
  • I Surrender All

This week, we will reflect on Psalm 27 (One Thing), written by Shane and Shane in 2015.

“The LORD is my light”

Worship God with your head and reflect on God’s unending, glorious light in Isaiah 60:20, “Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended.”

“The LORD is my strength, the stronghold of my life, Whom shall I fear”

Worship God with your heart and feel secure with Isaiah 12:2, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

“Your face O God I seek”

Worship God with your hands seek the LORD according to Psalm 105:4, “Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!”

“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” –
Jude 1:24-25

See you Sunday! – Justin
